Hi

I have an infected machine with Adware.Iefeats
Norton AV 2006 detects it but is unable to remove. Symantec have a fix on their site but that doesnt detect it in safe or normal mode.

The machine is definitely infected as it has all the signs of iefeats and tries to connect to internet.

Symantec and McAfee dont seem to have a manual removal procedure.

Any ideas????

A few things. First you can run housecall from the link below, it is an online scanner. If you use it, do a full system scan.

You can also use this excellant antivirus/antispyware/antimalware scanner. Id reccomend using it in safe mode running a full system scan.

Then after doing either or both, download hijack this from the link below. Extract to desktop or prefered folder. Open it up, choose do a system scan and save a logfile. Post the logfile on here and dont attempt to fix anything unless your sure of what your doing for most items are legit.
