Advise on linking Servers

I have SQL Server and an ODBC gateway driver, to allow SQL to access our access system.

Is it possible to setup SQL server so that MS Query can be used to interogate the accounts system, using the SQL server as the pass through?

If it is possible are there any resources which you can recommend to guide me throught the process?
