Hi again.
more questions.

we have two tape drives and two seperate back-up jobs.
one job continualy goes above the capacity of the tape drive
leading to veritas asking for a second tape.
as we dont have 2nd tapes or tape loader, these jobs are cancelled more often than not.

my question is this......
whould you still be able to restore the data that did manage to fit on the tape ?
or will veritas consider the whole back up job to be cancelled and not allow any of the data to be restored ?

cheers in advance.

Ck.

Hi
You should be able to restore from the first tape without any problem the only problem you will face is to list the files/folder from Veritas Database.
you need to merge the tape to the database then you will be able to view the filer/folders otherwise you can only
restore by media.

regards,
mohamdr
