Advice on opening Modal Window

Hi,

Just after some advice really on the best method to open a modal form based upon a value selected in a dataview.
The modal form will open and populate with the data based upon what id is selected in the datagrid.
I am reasonably new to asp.net however I have come from a windows vb.net background. As i said any advice/examples would be massively appreciated.

I'd go for a javascript based solution rather than a pop up. If you're using jQuery then you can use something like this:

Hi Mark,

I haven't actually used JQuery as of yet, i've got Ajax, thanks for the recommendation i've heard a lot about JQuery so I will give it a go.
