Hi

Anyone got the pdf for installing these, Avaya support just throws up a balnk page when I try to download it.

Also anyone of known issues with these on boot up, running both opt178 and 242. Vague memory of some phones being dispatched with hardcoded vlans!

Any help appreciated

found an issue 1 sep2010 avaya doc.

Any other help gratefully accknowledged

Every single one I've had has needed to be altered from the keyboard to switch to HTTP firmware delivery (FTP by default I think)

You also need to tweak your HTTP server MIME types to allow CFG files to be trasmitted as ASCII (I think)

What specific issues are you having?

Take Care

Matt
I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.

Hi Matt

fail on boot up either

1. No Valid DHCP
2. Discovering.

they all get dhcp and then rotate trying to connect to the clan's in the scope and then die :-( we have both opt176 and 242 set

Did you have to set an alias as 4620 at all or manipulate the 46xx.txt file?

Cheers
Dave

I've had issues with upgrading 1692 using the S8300 /tftpboot or a utility server. What always works for me is pointing the 1692 to a MVIPTel server.
