Advice for external USB DVD Burner

Would someone be able to tell me a solid external USB DVD burner? I heard Panasonic and NEC are good. Any particular model that don't have known issues and work well?

I'm looking to use it for Witness / Avaya ContactStore which is a call recording application running on:

Linux gpsx.net 2.4.21-27.ELsmp #1 SMP Wed Dec 1 21:59:02 EST 2004 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux



Any help is much appreciated.
