Hi,

I am using log in script to install ADV/CLI when I check Capinst log I find this error.
I have extended schema. successfully.
Searching AD for Server Locator Points.
1 SLP(s) found in AD
Checking SLP SMSSERVER for site/caps
Querying SLP: /sms_slp/slp.dll?mp&ad=Default-First-Site-Name&ip=192.168.1.0&ir=192.168.1.105
SLP SMSSERVER returned no results, This client cannot be matched to any site boundaries known by that SLP

Help!

Thank you,

Yes,

I have Boundries entred in server: (AD) boundries?

yup.. AD boundaries.. Are those boundaries in the 192.168.1.0&ir=192.168.1.105
range??

I have a number of Subents, do I have to enter them all as IP subnets as well.

192.168.1.0 is subnet boundry that has the Server.
192.168.1.105 is the client I was testing and got the error message from.

do you see the entry for your slp in the systems management container in AD?

yes,

this is what I have as entry:

CN=SMS-SLP-CTC-SMSERVER msSSMServerLocaltorPoint CN=SMS-SLP-CTC-SMSSERVER,CN=system managment....etc

Typically this means the client to be is not in a boundary,

so if the client is in an ad site boundary that is listed in the sms site boundaries make sure the ad site includes the subnet.... short of that I guess you could always include the IP subnet itself in the boundaries and see if that works. This would help you narrow down the problem.
