Advantage series Discovery upgrade to Small Business

Received a letter last month stating that Advantage series Discovery edition will be discontinued with release 5.3 of Advantage series Small Business Edition. We will be getting Small Business Edition as part of SupportPlus.
I am currently running Discovery Edition 5.1A Service pack 3, Pervasive.SQL 2000i. Has anyone gone through the upgrade from discovery edition to small business edition, and will I have to migrate to a different database.

You will have to upgrade to Pervasive 8.6 (8.5 SP2).

Ok. Purchased Pervasive8.6 and have downtime scheduled for the upgrade from 2000i. Going to upgrade the database first, then upgrade the application after we verify the database is stable on the new version. My question, do I (or should I) re-build the data-files to the latest version, or just leave them alone ?
