Anybody know where I might be able to come up with the equipment needed to connect my existing network that has a advancedstack 14 hub in it to a SMC barricade firewall/router model number
SMC7004VBR? I really don't want to rip out my network cards in the machines that I have already got just to connect it to a standard 10/100 Mbit network thanks Dan

Hello airwolf51 -

I'm guessing that an "advancestack 14 hub" is the HP AdvanceStack 100VG Hub-14, whose model number is HP J2415A. As you know, this is a 100VG hub. Presumably, the network cards in the machines connected to is are 100VG as well.

The J2415A accepts the HP J2414B 100VG/Ethernet SNMP/Bridge module, which has one 10 Mbps Ethernet port.

I am not familiar with the SMC7004VBR, but if it has a 10 Mbps Ethernet connection, then you should have no problem attaching it to the J2414B, assuming that you have one of those.

HP no longer sells the J2415 or J2414, so if you need a J2414, you will have to find one on the used or surplus market.

Good luck,
Ralph
