Advanced Update Page Help Needed!!!

I'm some problems with the SQL code for my update page.

I want to create a new type of update page. When a user updates a record rather than updating the record, I want a new record to be created with the 'DocVer' (this is not an autonumber, I've got DocNo setup as that) field updated by one.

Any ideas what my SQL should be?
