The Advanced Security tables at our site were cleared. I would like to reinstall Advanced Security.

I wanted to check that reinstallation of Advanced Security (by running through the Setup Wizard) does not have any adverse implications for, say, the security settings for Users and Classes that remain in the system (i.e Setup>>Security).

In other words, is it safe to reintall Advanced Security on top of existing Security settings?

Absolutely safe.

Advanced Security is just a new easier to use Explorer interface into the existing security model. Just install the chunk on all workstations and log on as 'sa' once to allow Advanced Security to create its tables.

The Accelerator table is just a caching table and can be recreated at any time.

You will be pleased to know that Advanced Security in v8 no longer has the external (ctree) accelerator option and is 10 to 20 times faster.
