Advanced Client Install problem

I'm trying to install the advanced client on some machines via the administrator console. The files seems to be copied over to the client machine and the service added, but then they don't run. The client push account is a member of domain admins and this group is a member of the local administrator security group.


Does anyone know what may be the reason that it's not installing?

Make sure that the Server service is started on the client computers, that file sharing is enabled, and that the ADMIN$ share exists. All of that is needed for a push.

Silly question...do you have your management point installed and available?

Thanks for the responses, yeah the management point is installed and configured. The server service is started, file sharing enabled and Admin$ is set up as well.

I manually installed the client on one machine and tried to disciver the site code but i got the error message 'Automatic site Code Discovery was unsuccessful' do you think this issue could be related?

Check the IP settings on the PC and compare it to another where the discovery works.

did you extend the schema? Can you see the systems/system management container with the server? MP SLP included in the list

Are you having this problem with ALL cliets, or just some? Have you previously distributed the client sucessfully, and now all start failing?
