Hi all,
Here is a little problem that i would like some help with. Bearing in mind that i have some technical experience but not much
Basically i want to have my ADSL line patched upto one of the wall mounted network sockets in my office. The ADSL line is currently terminated at the BT distribution panel in the basement of my office building in the comms room. The comms room houses all the buildings network infrastructure. After a snoop inside the cabinet i have successfully located the corresponding ports on the patch panel for my office network points.
I presume that all i need to do is connect the ADSL line to the patch panel and i will have ADSL in my office. The question is - What is the best way to do this?
Do i need to connect a BT master socket first ?
Or can i take the wires from the DP panel and just go straight to RJ45 for connection to the patch panel?
Thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance for any help.
