hi,

I have an NT4 server running Proxy with a second NIC for ADSL, from the server I can get out to the internet really quickly but on the client PC's it takes an age. I have tried taking proxy settings out of internet explorer, used it with proxy, tried gateways etc. Will internet access be slower on a client PC as they have to go from the internal network then to the server, then the second NIC then out through ADSL?

I was thinking of putting in a SOHO firewall to bypass Proxy all together. Will this be quicker than proxy? I think so as the SOHO is harware based so therefore quicker than software proxy.

Any ideas???

Andy

put the dsl on a hub/switch and setup the gateway of the pc's to the dsl router. Verify if there is a difference in
speeds. Jeter@LasVegas.com
