I've two nic's in my linuxmachine (redhat 7). First one connected to adsl-modem and the other to the LAN.

I'm using the latest pppoe software from and have run adsl-setup to setup the connection.
tried with and without firewall options selected.
When I run adsl-start I recieve this.

/usr/sbin/adsl-start: line 189: 22504 Terminated $CONNECT "$@" >/dev/null 2>&1

Tell me if you need more information. Like the results from DEBUG=1 adsl-start.

thanks in advance /Sören

is your adsl connection a router/hub or a USB device?

No USB-device. Don't even think my kernel have support for USB, the modem works great in windose though.

Perhaps my ISP doesn't use pppoe,
Perhaps I should run dhcp-client and write a script that will logon to my ISP?
Anyone here have Telia (Sweden) as ISP?
/Sören

I've briefly read the first one. don't think I need the second, since I don't have that kind of modem.
thanks anyway.

ifincham: where have you gathered all your knowledge? Many years experience? You seem to have an answer or clue to almost every question. :)
