I have a question for those of you out there who are DSL providers. I work for a small DSL provider in Southern Illinois. We are using G.lite on AFC DMAX Let Shelf DSLAMS. Our problem has been in getting modems that will sync up at our slowest speed. We have a few hundred Efficient modems that, with the proper firmware will work. We have tried modems from most of the other manufacturers out there,(those who are still in the business) without much luck.

What we are being told is that most of the mfrs are moving away from G.lite and to G.DMT. The only currently available modem that we have found to work is a Castlenet Modem with a Viking chipset. We are considering a move to G.DMT, but at the cost of a major equipment upgrade.

I am interested in other's experiences, and to perhaps share information.
