Good Day

At the moment we have 4 clients PC connected to a 6 port hub. One of the client we use for sharing for the internet connection and this client is connected to a single modem. Lately we change our internet line, using broadband access. So we install the ADSL modem

The question,we try to make all the client to access to the internet without have to link to any of the client PC. each client PC can dial up to the ADSL modem to access to internet. Example, we have 4 client connect to one 6 port hub. Than the ADSL Modem also connect to the hub. So each client can have access to the internet by connect to the ADSL modem.. thank you.

Using a hub as you described requires that each computer have its own static IP address assigned by the ISP, something that could get expensive. A better solution would be to put a router between the modem and the hub. The router would use the one ISP assigned IP address, the individual computers would still need seperate IP addresses so the router can identify each but these would not need to be static IP's assigned by the ISP.
Having a router on a broadband connection is also a first layer firewall, something very necessary these days.

WHAT IS THE PIN CONNECTIONS FOR TWO hdsl modems. used for lan extantion
