Hi all
I have a number of sites where 837s are connected to BT ADSL lines. Some of them have an intermittent problem where the ADSL interface bounces. BT check the line, either from the DSLAM or on site and find it to be OK in terms of signal/noise when the router is disconnected. However when the router is connected we see the signal/noise ratio become marginal.
If we change the router for another 837 then the line issue is unchanged. If we replace it with a different model (we have tried 1700s) the signal/noise is nominal and it works correctly.
I guess that there is some hardware difference in the ADSL interfaces on the two routers (the 1700 ues an WIC-1ADSL, the 837 has ADSL inbuilt)
There may also be an IOS issue. We are using c837-k9o3sy6-mz.123-8.T.bin.
Any ideas/comments welcome.
Thanks EB
