ADSI problem adding users to Win2k

Using VBscript fter adding users to an OU, adding them to a group, and then setting the attributes to set the users HomeDrive and HomeDirectory and to force the user to change their password at the next login, I login the user with the default password I set but am not prompted to enter a new password, and the users Homedirectory is not created on the server. Also when I hit ctrl-alt-delete and try to change the password manually I enter the old password and then the new password but I get the message that the old password is incorrect. I just used this password to login with but now it is not recognized?

So my questions are:
why am I not prompted for a new password
why didn't my Homedirecty get created
why can't i change the password manually
