adsi network permission setting through asp?

Problem. I am using adsi on nt 4. Creating an intranet site for a company of 100. Due to the fact there is poor communication through out the company. need to enable the users to set file and directory permissions based on their nt account but done through the web interface. Any ideas?
Providing I know the name of the share I can get the properties but can't seem to set them.
