ADR 2 tape won't let me append

I bought a new adr2 tape and tried adding it to the media pool. I set it to allow infinate appends and the tape says that there is "none" for append time left. I cannot get it to write to it.

Are you using ntbackup, or veritas, or what? Also, what model drive are you using and what os are you running it on. I'll do my best to help you out but i need some basic info first.
