We just ran ADPrep yesterday so that we could install our first 2003 Domain controller on the domain, and today one of our guys' Windows 98 machine (I know, I know) couldn't log on. All of his TCP/IP stuff worked (ping, internet, http) but it wouldn't log onto the domain.

any chance that Adprep broke something?

my biggest assumption is win2003 domain enable SMB signing which block win98 from logon, you may install the latest dsclient on win98, which will disable smb signing, or, you may take a look the following KB to disaable smb signing.

also, check logon option for ntlm orntlm v2 or kerbos, 'coz win2003 might diable ntlm.
