Dear All,

I was created an Microsoft Access Project (ADP) using Access 2000 and SQL Server 2005 Express. It can run well if I use Microsoft Access but when I try in Access Run-Time I can't access/use/call all the Stored Procedure. Can anybody tell me why this happen and how to solve it ?

Thank you

I successfully made a frontend based on the Access 2003 runtime a while back. It pointed to our SQL 2000 Server (at the time).

Is this runtime meant to be a standalone application without a pre-existing database. If so did you include SQL Server 2005 Express in the installation along with something to create the backend/SQL objects?

One thing to check is permissions. Access ADPs do a lot of object property exploration behind the scenes. Some syntax will fail that at other times will not, depending on permissions.

For example Access can take just the name of a stored procedure as a RecordSource, ala "MySPName" but it has to be able to run certain system SPs to learn what that thing is (e.g., is it a form in the project or a stored procedure or a function or something else)?

So just changing that to "EXEC MySPName" can fix some problems.

There are other subtle problems that can appear because of permission issues. And I know you didn't mention permissions, but I imagined that when deploying to an ADE file you might have changed permissions in the process... releasing is a likely time for such a change.

Dear lameid and ESquared,

Thank you for your response. I've already got solution for my problem, I try to use Access 2002 Runtime and my program can work smoothly under it.
