Whenever I've used an ado connection, I've used code to open and close my connections right away after I've processed or retrieved data. This is a newbie type of question.......if I use the ADODC Data Control, do I have to worry about closing a connection or recordset? Does it close automatically at some point? Thanks for any info and advice!

It closes when you close the form. 1 big problem with databound controls is that they are....well data bound and at this point with VB 6 that normally means tieing up resources on the server.

Thanks for the information. I was looking for the easy way out, but it looks like I'll continue to perform my connections through code to minimize the use of resources on the server.
