Hi. I am using Windows Vista and I recently downloaded Adobe Reader 9.x (I only needed it for one document) however for some reason Adobe has taken it upon itself to OPEN everything. I can't open things like my antivirus, yahoo messenger, msn messenger, yahoo, yahoo music, etc etc . Even right clicking on a program icon and clicking 'open' 'run as' nothing opens them, or adobe again pops up! Here is what I don't understand why is Adobe trying to open files (every thing it seems) that obviously are not PDF files? Not sure what to do...Help please!!!Thanks so much in advance

File association fixes for Windows Vista

See what this article mentions about a Registry Key called "UserChoice ", see if you can adapt that information and apply it where relevant to fix your problem.

Restore the .exe file association in Windows Vista, after incorrectly associating it with another application

If this has only just begun to happen maybe you can use System restore to correct the problem.

How to repair the operating system and how to restore the operating system configuration to an earlier point in time in Windows Vista

I will try these and update....Thanks for such a prompt reply!!!
