Problem: When viewing a pdf with Adobe Reader Version 8 the following error appears while attempting to copy and paste to Microsoft Word Clipboard;

"There was an error while copying to the clipboard. An internal error occurred'

Does anyone know a fix or work around to this problem?

So far I have tried installing a full version of Adobe Acrobat and have also tried messing around with when the 'ClipBook' Service begins to make sure that this service runs over and above any VNC software or any other pieces of software that are installed and may be causing this problem but neither of these things appear to make any difference.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

...does this pdf in question have security on it?

...file > document properties should display what security the pdf has...

...it may not allow copying or editing...

I have checked the pdf security settings and they all appear to be as they should. Copying is allowed.

This error message that I am getting is infact more of just a 'warning' because after I recieve whatever I am trying to copy does appear on the clipboard.

Its just a nuisance having to 'ok' this error message everytime and it would be good to be able to get rid of it.

Thanks again.
