All right, I have Adobe premiere pro 7.0. I was working on a video from files from fraps to make a montage like thing. its almost 12 minutes long. I try to render it, it takes a long time, and goes about half way, then either freezes or crashes. i have a 2.4 gig intel P4 and 1 gig of ram, and plenty of HD space. Anyone know how to get around this, or any alternatives??? Thanks.

Not a Fraps user, so I am guessing that you are working with still images.

If you are starting with movies, then maybe the CODEC or frame size is causing problems. Post more details of source and project settings in case someone else can help in this area.

Render times for a 12-minute programme should be excessive unless you have applied at lot of FX and transitions or there is a transcoding/resizing task.

Maybe you have a 'bad' image on the timeline?

You can restrict the segment of the program that renders by adjusting the length and position of the work area bar. Try covering a smaller length near the point of failure and see if you can isolate the culprit.

well it seems like there is a bad segment. I made the whole video split into 5 parts. the 3rd part always makes premiere crash. Im gonna try somethings like taking out background sound and some effects in attempt to fix it. thanks for the tip
