I created a website using Photoshop CS2. I made a login section where you can enter username and password. The only problem is I dont know how to make those images allow you to enter text and submit a form. Any ideas?

Take a course or read a book regarding web design. You are not using the right tool.

What do you expect the server to do after the user types in their info? What have you scripted?

jimoblak is right, photoshop just creates images. You need to learn some HTML or use a WSYWIG program like dreamweaver (which I'd advise against if you're really serious about making webpages). Photoshop is a great tool to enhance your site by creating background images and icons and stuff, but you need to learn the HTML basics before you start tackling that stuff.

ok, first off, Im not new to website design. I am certified in HTML, PHP, ASP and A+. I created a ecommerce website for this transmission shop, and I wanted to create a different home page layout other than the ecommerce section. I made a layout in Photoshop, with the option of logining into the webstore. I created slices to the text input areas, and tried using Dreamweaver 8 to edit the rest of the site. All Photoshop did was make those areas images. I want to be able to add text, etc. to my site, but cant do so because the whole website is made up of images. So again, my question was how do I make those sections able to accept text input?

I apologize for misinterpreting your experience but there is still confusion about what you want to achieve. Those experienced in web design would not be asking your question (or would be asking in a different way, likely on another web design-specific forum). It is a basic concept for a web designer. Making a web site entirely out of images is also odd behavior for an experienced web designer.

If an image is where you want to add a text input field or button, you need to place the text above the image in the HTML layout. This is not done in Photoshop. This question seems more appropriate for a Dreamweaver, GoLive or HTML forum than a Photoshop forum. These web design forums are all available elsewhere on Tek-Tips if you need further help on layering these elements.
