Adobe Illustrator 8 does not see Memphis font

Hi,

I have a font called 'Memphis' that can be seen and used in Adobe PhotoShop 7 and Quark Xpress 4.11 but for some reason is NOT visible in the font list in Adobe Illustrator 8 !

This is on a PowerMac G4/400MHz running OS9.2.2

Any ideas ?

Illustrator is picky picky when it comes to fonts, and if there's anything wrong with that font, Illustrator may not show it. Did you check to see if there's a dividing line at the bottom of your font list with additional fonts below it?

What happens sometimes, is that the adobefnt.lst files get messed up. Search for them and delete them, then check open Illustrator and check again.

Yup. As you already know. Illustrator is strange that way.
