Hi,

We have just upgraded to version 8.5 in order to take advantage of Adobe Acrobat export facility. The function seems to work fine from CR Designer but when we use the runtime component or the active x control with our existing integrated reports we don't get the option to export to Adobe.

Is this a limitation of this release or are we encountering something more sinister? Has anyone been able to export to adobe from the run time component or the Active X control?

Hi Paulosinuk,

Yes, I have checked with the other options (not the designer).
-> ActiveX control
-> Runtime object

It is working fine with both of them from VB. If you have upgraded to the 8.5 (without uninstalling previous one), it could be the problem.

Are you getting the option for Adobe PDF in the drop down or the option itself is not appearing?

If you have some problem in which Adobe PDF option is coming but as soon as you press OK, it will do the things but there is not file generated actually at the end, check for the existence of Crystal_PDF folder under System directory.

Tell me on the above, if I can help you more.

Have Fun,

Hi Malay,

It sounds to me like something has gone wrong with the upgrade becasue the option is not available to export under V.B.

Thanks for the help, I'll try a re-install and see how we get on.

Thanks

Paulos
