Adobe Document Prints Slow

What properties can I change about an adobe document or on the printer to cause an adobe document to print faster?

If you print PDF as image sometimes they print faster. On print dialog, click on the Advanced button (at bottom) and then click Print As Image.

Appreciate the reply. I did try that , but it seemed to get worse. THe file shows to be about 350kb, but when I change it to print as image it baloons up to 10MB.
