Adobe CS2 3

Does anyone know if Adobe CS2 will run on a Mac Laptop G4, Running OS 9.2? Or will I have to upgrade OSX? And the second part is... can the Mac Laptop G4 be upgraded to run OSX with out issue?

All Adobe apps, sice CS1 are osx only.

Any g4 "should" be able to handle osx but the older slower g4s run it very slow. I also believe that 10.4 (current version) only ships on DVD - not CD -but I'm not sure. If your machine does nat have a dvd player, i'd check that last point very carefully.

Check minimum system requirements from apple.com and adobe.com

You do not specify what RAM or processor speed that the laptop has. Running this suite requires some power.

I run it on a Mac Mini (G4) with 1gb ram, and it can be slightly sluggish at times.

CS2 on a G4 400 with 1GB of RAM is painful.
G4 733 with 1GB of RAM is rather slow.
G4 1Ghz with 1GB of RAM is ok unless you do complex stuff like blends in Photoshop.

Avoid 10.2 as its horrible. 10.3 is much better with memory management and 10.4 needs a G5 to run smoothly due to RAM overhead.
