Adobe Activex Plugin

I am using an Adobe Activex plugin for IE to open a packaged file system to protect piracy. I am running into issues when I click on the links in my PDF (my pdf has links to other PDFs and Flash files). THese links cannot be opened.
I am unable to trace the path because the activex component is taking charge and I am unable to even look into the paths accessed by it.

Is it possible for anyone to suggest a solution.
