Hi, when I open a PDF on my Mac (OS.9) for the first time after booting up I get this message:

You cannot currently view Adobe PDF files from within your web browser due to a configuration problem. Would you like Acrobat to fix the configuration.

If I choose OK the PDF opens and the error doesn't appear again.

If I choose cancel I have to go through the same procedure each time (as I would expect to).

Although this does not stop me reading PDF's I would still appreciate anyone suggestions in resolving this problem.

Thanks.

Check your start up items in your system folder. It seems that something is trying to override your acrobat settings at boot.

Also try installing the most recent of each program (IE first). A new install of IE or Acrobat will reset your configuration.

Open Adobe, go to EDIT>PREFERENCES then click on the OPTIONS tab... one of the Web Browser Options is Display PDF in browser. Make sure this is checked.

Let me know if this worked!
