I'm trying to modify a project that Is opened on startup of word if you have adobe acrobat installed. Its basicaly code that generates a .pdf from your ActiveDocument & attaches it to an email. I think the project Is locked, when I try to look at the project In VBA Editor I get the error message "Project Is Unviewable". Is there anyway around this or will I have to try and write the code myself??

Thanks

Sarge

under menu Tools-->Templates and Add-ins
uncheck the project(s) you want to modify (am guessing it would be either PDFWrite.dot and/or PDFMakerA.dot or similar)
then open the project(s) using File-->Open
you should then be able to modify the project(s)

It still gives me the "Project Is Unviewable" message.

Thanks Anyway

Sarge

PDFWrite.dot can be viewed
PDFMakerA.dot and PDFMaker.dot cannot (at least on my machine)

if you have PDFWrite.dot, maybe you could use that.
i know one of my colleagues has done that to automatically convert MS Word files to PDF

what changes are you planning on making?

I'd like to attach a PDF to an email using Outlook Express. I wanted to copy some of thier code because i only know how to attach an office file to an email.
