Adobe Acrobat 5 cannot locate default location

I've got acrobat 5 on my system but have to go to ridiculous measures to get files to open. I've downloaded free software from the Adobe site a few times. Keep getting weird error message.

My system is:

G4 with OS 9

Any suggestions will be appreciated

I had this as my Internet Config file mappings had the earlier version;s name you may wish to sherlock internet config and look in file mappings I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.
