Adobe 8.0 pdf adding Tab dividers on right side

Someone told me that I can produce a pdf file with tab dividers off to the right side of the document. I am thinking they meant the visual tabs like the one on the left (pages,bookmarks,etc.) Does anyone know how or if this exists?

...mmm...

...not in any 'automatic' form, but you could design each page to have the tabs, then with acrobat pro create invisible buttons that jump to a linked page, perhaps this is what they meant too...

...it is a manual task to achieve...

i am thinking it looks like a notebook with tab dividers. where can i make tabs? I couldn't find that future.
