Hello, I have a number of MS Access tables with hyperlinks to .pdf files. The links worked fine with Standard Version 6.

With Standard Version 7 they do not. Adobe starts and then shuts down.

If I reload Version 6 all works as it should..

I suspect this is a security issue of some sort but do not know how to properly phrase the question to get a meaningful answer.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks,

dRahme

I'm having the same problem. The problem is with your visual basic references. Adobe 6.0 uses pdf.ocx. In Adobe 7.0 this file doesnt exist. I'm in the process of trying to figure out if adobe still has this functionality but just renamed the reference file to something else.

If anyone knows what the new reference should be, please inform me! I would greatly appreciate it.

Hi, In the interim I finally figured it out. What it was for me, was a whole host of temporary files - took about a minute to delete them all. On the Adobe website there is a batch command you can use to delete the temp files. Once I did this, Adobe 7 worked as it should. You might give that a try.
