Adobe® err msg: "There was a problem reading this document(109)"

Hi,
We tried uninstalling/ reinstalling several times Adobe ACrobat 4.0 on our server .

We use this to merge some pdf files into a single file .

We have a task running an executable file which causes this merge and the code is written in Visual Basic.

When the executable is allowed to run , we come up with the defined error:

"There was a problem reading this document (109)"

This error appears for all the pdf documents to be merged.

We do not have a clue to this problem.

Please let us know the solution.
