How do I change the sql statement in a query using an ADO recordset? I know how to do it in DAO (.SQL) but I'm trying to use ADO for consistency.

I'm confused by your question. However, if you post the "How You Do It In DAO" I'm sure I'll be able to see what you're doing and convert it into ADO for you.
