We recently upgraded Oracle Client from 8.1.5 to 8.1.7 and now when we try to open a connection from an asp page we get the following error:
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for Oracle error '80004005'

Oracle client and networking components were not found. These components are supplied by Oracle Corporation and are part of the Oracle Version 7.3.3 or later client software installation. Provider is unable to function until these components are installed.

The strange thing is we have MTS Components on the same machine that are using the same udl and provider and they are working properly.

After the Upgrade we modified the Transaction server regestry enteries to:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ Microsoft\Transaction Server\Local Computer\My Computer]"OracleXaLib"="oraclient8.dll""OracleSqlLib"="orasql8.dll""OracleOciLib"="oci.dll"

as mentioned in the folowing article:

Need help Please.
