Does anybody know how to retrieve data from SQL Server using ADO and populate data into a report of MS Access?
Thank you very much.

I try not to overlook the obvious ... is there a particular reason you are trying to avoid just Linking the table in Access?

Hi - and welcome to Tek-Tips!

This is the SQL-server programming forum.

Your questions are probably more appropriate/faster answered in one of the seven fora dedicated Access - for this, perhaps forum703 or forum705 - mind you, if you want to assign it to the reports recordset, I think you'll have to be working with an ADP (forum958), not and mdb - so druers advice seems good ...

Here's a faq on getting the most out of the membership faq181-2886

Yes, there is a reason. I would like to get rid of ODBC connection. Another words, I would like to put the connection information only in code. I've never used ADP, but I've just looked up there and that's actually a window to a server. The problem is that I need to set up a security. Nobody but me should have access to tables, views and store procs.
Thank you for your help.
