I'm trying to get the following package:

SUNWadm

I can't seem to find this specific product download anywhere...

Can anyone point me to the specific download site for this package...

TIA

Joe

Joe - Thread60-92570 gives an address to download the Adminsuite package - it seems you may need a Sunsolve contract, however. Good luck.

Hi Ken,

I really appreciate the input, but the AdminSuite download does NOT contain the AdminSuite product:

SUNWadm

It DOES contain the following products:

SUNWceam
SUNWdeeam
SUNWeseam
SUNWfream
SUNWheam
SUNWiteam
SUNWjeeam
SUNWkeam
SUNWseamj
SUNWseams
SUNWsveam

I had already installed the AdminSuite, and had also installed the DiskSuite...

However, I'm getting an error from the Solstice DiskSuite, saying that one of the tools is unavailable, because the following AdminSuite product was NOT installed:

SUNWadm

So, in order to get rid of the error, I need to install the above listed product, which is supposed to be part of the AdminSuite product...

But it's NOT part of the AdminSuite product...

So... Can anyone tell me where I can get this specific product, as it is NOT included in the AdminSuite download...

TIA

Joe

Are you sure that the package is not SUNWmd? This is the disksuite package. Found on different disks depending on which version of Solaris you are using.

I had this problem about two weeks ago. I called SUN technical support about it. SUNWadm doesn't exist anymore. When in the gui for disksuite, you can't use to tool -> disk manager etc options anymore (anyway, that is what the guy at SUN told me). He emailed me a list of the command line options to do the same things and recommended that as the way to do it. If you would like, I will send you what I have. There is also a pretty good list in the admin guide for disksuite.

The guy at Sun mentioned the gui isn't all it should be yet, but in Solaris 9, it is renamed to Solaris volume manager and is much better.

Thanks

Will

Hi

wtrepani's observartions are right.I had the same problem a while ago. metatools gui in Solaris 8 is broken. If you are looking for Volume Manager functionality, patch 108693-07.
Hope this helps

Hello,

What does patch 108693-07 do for you? Does it enable the gui for volmgmt? I loaded the latest patch clusted, but can't get at the system right now to see if that was included.

Thanks

Patch 108693-07 includes gui for volmgmt. Not sure if it is included in the patch set.
