Administrator Error Randomly appearing - mostly while surfing internet

I've seen "close" posts to this, but not quite my problem. When I'm trying to access something on the internet (so far, I think it's only happening with IE7/the internet), I'm randomly getting the error message about requiring Administrator privilages, "Please log out then back in as Administrator." When I say random, I mean for example:

* Opening a link to a webpage from an e-mail
* Typing in a specific website
* Clicking on an established website I have bookmarked and have a login screen to access the site, etc.

In every case, 99.99% of the time, I can refresh or re-click the link and it goes in no problem - no Admin error message. I've double-checked that I'm setup as an Administrator (kind of hard not to be when I live alone, no one has access to my laptop and it's new as of a few months ago and I'm the only user).

It gets very frustrating sometimes to constantly get this message when I know I'm Admin. There's also virtually no rhyme or reason as to when I receive the message.

Ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I used to be Windows technical support for various companies and now I do a different kind of support position, so it's not like I'm a complete newbie to this stuff, but I'm stumped. I'm starting to REALLY miss WinXP and wish I'd gone ahead and insisted on it with my new laptop instead of thinking I'd just start getting used to Vista now - "ahead of the inevitable curve..."

The normal use of any administrative account in Vista only runs with standard users privileges. It is not until you run Elevated, either by using the Run As (right-click option) or by answering any UAC prompt offered, will you be running with administrative privileges.

That said, I don't see that the above is the cause of your problems.

Maybe you should look at what you can do in IE to test or solve the problem?

Well, I know that I'm under Administrative Privilages, because I've gone in and checked, and that is selected (not Standard User).

Of COURSE, since posting the question, I haven't gotten the error. I'm going to sit and wait for now on it (A new "forced update" was done on my system last night), and if I get the message again, I'll try to check Microsoft's site first, then also make note of which site I was trying to access, the EXACT wording of the message, etc.

Thanks for the start on where to look, however! Any other suggestions floating out there are greatly appreciated.

What is it that you actually checked? There is no real help from just looking in User Accounts, because it will say Administrator in there, even though as I said, all Administrators run with Standard User privileges unless specifically elevated.

Is this only happening in IE7? Do you get these error messages in Chrome or Firefox? If not, your problem may be linked to Parental Control or Content Advisor. Although that wouldn't explain why a refresh gets you past the problem.
