administrative override for logged in power users

Is there anyway to have a power user logged in and using a command to grant temp administrative rights for that session?

I need to remotely install software with administrator rights, but I don't want to logout the current user.

I have heard there is a batch/script I can run to do it...but I can't seem to find it.
