Win2003 has Network Monitor in its admin tools, that allows one to see the packets as they come in and out.

Where is it (or equivalent) in Win2008 ?

in the server monitor app (right click on my computer and go to manage) then expand diagnostics and select "Reliability and Performance". I think that has what you are looking for.

Well I think I am wrong on that, you want to look at the actual packets correct?

correct, I want to see the same reports as what the 'Network Monitor' on Windows2003 show.

It's called Microsoft Network Monitor 3.1. I don't believe that it is installed by default, but you should be able to download it from Microsoft. It's much better than the old NETMON.

Thanks, I dl'ed Microsoft Network Monitor 3.2

One major flaw right off the bat - you can't change the view of the captured packets. So you can not even see the current packets as it shows the older packets on top in the packet caputuring viewing frame :(

Get Ethereal or Wireshark.
