After receiving the incorrect info from TIF (Tech In Field) and doing my own reasearch I have a TX 824 with a TVA 50 VM. I just want to add a VM box and change the AA recording. Could this be done from a Station that is designated as the ADMIN , much like the Avaya Partner that most of my offices have. Is there a programming manual DL I can get or do I need to find a new vendor(old one RIP), to just do user end programming???

just noticed in your 3 posts relating to this you have entered 3 differnt v/m models TVA50,TVS550, and TVR50 maybe you should get this cleared up first

Thank You Rivet,

I actually want to cut the office over to an Avaya, which the TIf was there to just do a simple survey and then the requests come (you know how that goes...)once he's seen instead of regular protocol. Just wont look to good to the CTO spending money like that for something we canjust take of inhouse. All I see is TVS-50 manuals no TVA could I be wrong again with the nomenclature? Can I also change AA greetings from the handset as well?

yes you can change anything with the handset and password unfortunatly the software is the real deal when dealing with voicemail. the book is hard enough even for lads doing it everyday, and your unlikly to get either for download on the net

I apologize for all the wrong models, this was told to me over the phone. I will head out personally to make the changes myself with manny in hand

use
at the prompt type #6*998 and and #6*999 to find your way

peter

you still need to connect up with a dum terminal to change custom dialing menu

CWC3 if I just change the AA menu for information purposes and not prompting can I hold off on the Dum terminal till I cutover or get the software to pur on a new Laptop? I can get "creative" for the time being and stall till I get approval for the Patrner

for last time you use plain old hyperterminal and a null modem adapter if your menu says if you know your parties ext dial it now all you have to do is add mailbox

its a kx-tva50 CWC3 so he will need the software although i havn't tried can you program this with Hyperterm

peter

sorry pete this guy was all over the place in one of his 3 posts he said that it was a tvs no ht on a tva ..still the answer is that if the menu is if you know your parties 3/4 digit ext then dial it now then all they need to do is create a mailbox through the keypad...

Correct i guess it depends on what he wants to do with it and what he has presently.
