I have recently installed 2003 Server. How do I setup an MMC on my XP pro desktop to administer AD Users and Computers as I used to do with NT4 Server? Is there a admin tools install from the 2003 server CD?

Thanks,

Barry

You should have a file called 'adminpak.msi' on your server cd that you can use to install the admin tools on xp.

Download the Active Directory Management Console (ADMC)from Microsoft and install it on any XP workstation in the domain from which you want to manage users and policy. It's not on the cd, but it is free. Once installed, you'll have a central display to see users and especially to view the settings for any individual group policy. You can even apply new policy settings in test mode to see the impact before deploying.

Thanks duke2106. I have now installed the admin pack.
