I am looking for the SYSCON Utility on my novell server. I am connecting to the server from a Win2000 workstation. I only see the "SYS" folder. I thought the "SYSCON" utility was located in the "PUB" folder. Can any one tell me what the problem might be?

Thanks,

JIM

SYSCON is located in SYS:\PUBLIC on a NetWare 3.x Server.

Are you logging into the Server as yourself, or as SUPERVISOR? It really shouldn't matter because the default rights will grant Read and File Scan rights to the SYS:\PUBLIC directory.

But, just in case, try logging in as SUPERVISOR.

Good Luck

I actually found my public folder...It was buried in a few other folders for some reason....Thanks for the tip salserocito!

Now I need to figure out how to add and remove users...can you help me out with that?

Sorry, its been a while since I have used SYSCON. Heck, I can't even remember what the initial screen looks like. We have been laughing about that here because it seems nobody here can remember what the initial screen looks like.

It's fairly straight forward. Use the HELP in SYSCON to reference what you don't know.

Good Luck!

I figured it out......Thanks

The initial screen is a menu and there is a user info option. That gives you a list of users.....I couldn't find the help, so instead i just started hitting buttons...turns out its the insert key on the keyboard that adds users!
