Hi - I have just installed Linux (Mandrake 7.0 Blue). Is there a general admin utility eg smit (AIX) or scoadmin (SCO) to add users, manage accounts etc etc?

hello,

Having used aix and sco I can honestly say <shrug> don't think so

At one time RH and Mandrake (Mandrake was based on RH)had a program called LinuxConf which I believe has been discontinued.

Generaly adding users groups etc, is done via scripts (adduser) etc.

There is a project called "Webmin" which provides web based administration abilities.

If you can provide a little more information on what you're trying to accomplish, I or somebody may know of something else.
